A vacancy for a Electrical Engineer Lavatory Module (d/f/m) – Lavatory Architecture & Design has arisen within Airbus Commercial/ Operations in Hamburg Finkenwerder.
Our Mission
The department Lavatory Module Architecture is within Airbus Engineering responsible over the complete life cycle for the Lavatory Module for all Airbus aircraft. As an Electrical Engineer you will be part of the whole development process beginning with the first concept studies over the entry into service and during the complete service of the aircraft. The job requires an independent and reliable working attitude and is characterized by a high level of interdisciplinary work beyond teams, companies and countries.
Your main tasks
- Module, system and device definition and associated electronics (including connector definition, loads, route assignment) according to customer requirements
- Checking the construction and ensuring that the Electrical Design Requirements (EDR) (bonding, connections, cable routing) are complied with by the module supplier
- Support in the design of system and device architectures
- Definition and design of electrical devices and creation of specifications
- Implementation of the development process according to ABD0100 and ABD0200 with the lavatory module supplier, their sub-suppliers or device manufacturers
- Integration of electrical devices and their interface coordination
- Evaluation of construction deviations and non-compliance, development of solution concepts
- Coordination with internal and external partners/manufacturers as well as vendor monitoring
- Monitoring and definition of the V&V process
- Processing of technical change requests (RFC/RFW)
- Internal reporting on the project status and representation of the work results internally/externally
- Technical and administrative support for in-service problems (error analysis and design improvements)
- Creation of system development documents and test requirements (incl. GTR/GTI)
Your Profile
- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the development and integration of systems and their components (including complex electronics and software)
- Experience in vendor management on an international basis and interdisciplinary cooperation are desirable
- Competences and experience in project management, as well as very good communication and presentation skills, teamwork and customer orientation
- Analytical, innovative and cross-system way of thinking
- Independent, responsible and solution-oriented way of working with the ability to take the initiative
- Negotiation and conflict skills
- Willingness to travel worldwide on business (approx. 15%)
- Business fluent English and good knowledge of German
