Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (d/f/m)

has arisen within the Airbus Aerostructures GmbH  in Hamburg.

You will be part of a growing team of development engineers taking care of the technical steering of projects in the Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) primary structure perimeter, for the new and incremental development of the complete Single Aisle, WideBody Family and A400M. 

Working on feasibility studies, supporting the detailed design and in the certification phase, managing structure-driven projects will be part of your job.

As a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (d/f/m) you will act as a direct technical competence to the Head of the department and you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will rely on your experience as a Stress Engineer (d/f/m) to take over the technical management of associated projects
  • You will contribute to the creation and validation of a conceptual design through feasibility studies Drive an interactive alignment and communication in a multi-skill project environment (Design / Stress / Fatigue / Systems...) in order to generate the necessary inputs for a design concept, and to provide relevant support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support,... ) as needed
  • You will manage and lead work performed by a supplier
  • You will be responsible for the production of safe design in line with state-of-the-art technologies and in an efficient and effective manner for new developments 
  • You will maintain skill state of the art operations and improve the Airbus capability to perform VTP analysis
  • You will identify and foster improvements opportunities in VTP Analysis 'Process, Methods & Tools' and ways of working (in close link with Centre of Competences / 1A transformation platform / 1ATV organization)
  • You will contribute to the validation and deployment of the airframe 'Process, Methods & Tools' strategy, in coordination with Centre of Competence / 1A transformation platform and all relevant stakeholders (transnational, multiprograms) 
  • You will anticipate and develop competences/PMT required for future technos / architectures / products / new ways of working 
  • You will support in Product Knowledge Capture & Re-Use (PKC&R) 

Your boarding pass

  • You have an Engineering Degree in Aerospace, Civil Engineering  or comparable
  • You have a deep knowledge of Composite- and Hybrid Design Principles and design best practices
  • You have experience in Manufacturing & Assembly including tolerance definition
  • You have good Project Management fundamentals 
  • Experience in Data Analytics is a plus
  • You hold the Technical Approver Delegation
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills would be a plus
