Solution Architect - Digital workplace/ Collaboration (d/f/m)

A vacancy for a Solution Architect - Digital workplace/ Collaboration (d/f/m) just came up at Airbus Commercial in Hamburg.  

You will join the "Digital Workplace" department where you will act on your own initiative and be in daily contact with several stakeholders at all levels of the company. You will closely collaborate with other Airbus divisions (Airbus commercial, Defence & Space, Helicopters). This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the user experience and the user adoption of this new collaborative solution.
  • You will design the new collaboration backbone strategy and the functional & technical solutions
  • You will contribute to build the future collaboration solutions
  • You will present and align our solutions to various stakeholders (security, legal, data protection)
  • You will preserve the best UX possible and perform troubleshooting on specific & complex use cases.
  • You will be in charge of leading a team (functionally) applying agile methods and/ or ITIL best practices
  • You are going to measure the performance of your product and launch improvement action plan
  • You will liaise with Google and other Editors to influence their roadmap

Desired skills and qualifications

  • You hold a degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable qualification and bring strong technical experience in IT services and operations.
  • You bring strong knowledge of ITIL and have expertise in cyber security and cloud basis
  • You have some experience in leading people/ teams.
  • You bring basic knowledge of mobile applications and device management
  • Ideally, you already applied the AGILE methodology.
  • You have a collaborative and curious mindset and bring excellent communication skills that allow you manage our various stakeholders effectively.
  • You have an advanced level of English and German. French is a plus.

Business Travels

This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly throughout Europe. Current estimation is once every quarter.
