Workpackage Leader (d/f/m) Engineering, Cargo & Safety

We are looking for several innovative and digital affine Work Package Leaders to join the Cargo & Safety System organisation.

The positions are hosted in the Cargo & Safety Engineering perimeter located in Bremen. Cargo & Safety in commercial aircraft is of utmost strategic importance for the airlines. This part is crucial for aircraft and passenger safety, as well as for cargo operations.

Consequently Airbus has launched several strategic important development projects in this area for the upcoming 5 to 7 years.
Your opportunity:
You have the opportunity to work on Cargo & Safety Systems development with a strong focus on engineering project management.
You will have the autonomy to work in your function on different challenging engineering projects and to collaborate with different project groups and stakeholders in an international and diverse setup.
With applying modern ways of working (AGILE, SCRUM...) and leadership behaviours you will support actively by steering these projects to successful outcomes.
Achievement of the project goals (time, scope, costs, quality) to the satisfaction of the customer and according to internal and external rules and regulations. Defining, setting up and promoting the project team or project organization, including employees from other functions (matrix organizations), in all project phases. Ensuring the effective integration of lessons learned. Ensuring active (internal or external) management of risks and opportunities and contract. Ensuring effective partner and supplier management. Management of various technical work packages.
Your main tasks and accountabilities:
- Manage & Lead development on sub-component level - incl. PM tasks
- Coordination within 1Cxx-perimeter and related interfaces
- Responsible for the PBS, OBS, WBS for 1Cxx project scope
- Responsible for creation, monitoring and control of the engineering schedule for 1Cxx scope based on master schedule
- Responsible for costs, resource planning for 1Cxx scope
- Responsible for deployment of R&O for 1Cxx scope
- Lead the 1Cxx Engineering Team
- Responsible for engineering deliverables, OTD
- Ensure coordination with other engineering contributing functions like 1Yxx (Safety & SAN); 1VY (Testing); IID (Security)
- Responsible for V&V for 1Cxx project scope • Responsible for Change Process within 1Cxx scope
- Responsible for DCR/JCR launch and technical acceptance
- Responsible for Engineering reporting to Project Leader & Chief Engineering & Integration/Programme Manager
- Responsible for the Progress Meeting and Action follow-up within 1Cxx
Requirements for this position:
- Diploma or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project- and Programmemanagement
- You are familiar with Stakeholder and Contract Management and already have dealt with Subcontractor Management
- You are a strong communicator and have a problem-solving oriented working style
- Fluent English as well as German skills mandatory
