#ZEROe Liquid Hydrogen Tank System Engineer (d/f/m)

Your opportunity

As a member of the ZEROe project, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration, technologies development, next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the development of our zero-emission aviation.
We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our project team by bringing your experience in the field of liquid hydrogen systems and respective components as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Your accountabilities
As part of Airbus and to accelerate the development of a Zero Emissions Aviation, you will drive the development of the liquid hydrogen system components on all levels. This ranges from defining components and selecting the technology, sizing the component and implementing it with suppliers.
Your main responsibilities
As such:
- You will design the hydrogen systems and its related cryogenic and non-cryogenic components such as pumps, valves or heat exchangers with a focus on controlability
- You will identify component requirements and core parameters based on the system architecture
- You will drive control topics on system level while ensuring safety when using cryogenic liquid and pressurized gaseous hydrogen
- You will contribute to the verification strategy by defining system and component level tests
- You will lead activities with internal and external partners including suppliers and the academic world in order to integrate the components into the overall system
Who we are looking for
Because ZEROe is preparing the future of aviation, we look for a highly skilled and passionate colleague, able to bring his/her energy and expertise into the Airbus engineering universe.
As such:
- You have a degree in control engineering, science or equivalent combined with several years of professional experience in hydrogen systems and/or related components in the industrial, space, automotive sector or other domains
- You bring advanced control skills HW/SW
- Ideally you have first experiences in the research & technology sector as well as in project management
- You are a proactive and highly motivated person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to manage confidential topics
- You show strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills
- Your English is at negotiating level, whereas additional language skills in French/German/Spanish are considered a plus
